To provide an air conditioner with greatly enhanced suction efficiency by surely removing dust attached to a prefilter.
The prefilter 20, a main filter, an electric fan and a dedusting motor rotating the prefilter 20 are provided in the air duct of a body casing 2 having the air duct introducing the atmospheric air sucked from an air suction port to an air blow-out port, and an automatic cleaning device 30 removing dust attached to the prefilter 20 is provided in the front face of the prefilter 20. The automatic cleaning device 30 is provided with a rotary brush driven by the rotation of the prefilter 20 being in contact with the front face of the prefilter 20, and a dedusting plate removing attached dust being in contact with the rotary brush.
