Abstract:

To provide a porous body having excellent sound absorbing quality, adsorptive property and stable quality, to provide the porous body by which the contact area of an adsorption decomposition catalyst with a gas component is remarkably increased compared to a conventional method using a porous body and when the porous body is filled in a column, the presssure loss is reduced and high function is exhibited with the increase of the filling quantity and to provide porous aggregate easily used as a pavement material or a construction material.

The air permeable porous body is formed by fixing or aggregating a plurality of spherical particles each comprising an inorganic material and having uniform size ranging 0.2 to 2 mm as average particle diameter. A gas purifying column uses the same.
