To provide a concrete admixture capable of attaining the flowability of concrete even when the usage of a shell crushed material per 1m3 concrete is increased and preventing the remarkable degradation of strength of the concrete after hardened compared to that of concrete in which the shell crushed material is not contained at all.
The concrete admixture consists essentially of the shell crushed material having ≤15 mm in maximum dimension and coarse particle ratio of 3.3-5.0. The passage rate of the shell crushed material through a nominal size of a screen suitably has a particle size distribution of 80-100% in 10 mm, 50-97% in 5 mm, 30-70% in 2.5 mm, 20-45% in 1.2 mm, 10-30% in 0.6 mm, 5-20% in 0.3 mm and 5-12% in 0.15 mm. The concrete contains the concrete admixture.
