NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (R is 4-hydroxyphenyl or 4-carbamoylphenyl or 3-methanesulfonylaminophenyl).
EXAMPLE: N-[2-Hydroxy-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)ethyl]-N-methanesulfonyl-N ''-{2-{[5-(methylamino)methyl-2-furyl]methylthio}ethyl}guanidine.
USE: A medicine and antiucer agent.
PREPARATION: A compound expressed by formula II is protected with an amino- protecting group and then halogenated to form a compound expressed by formula III (X is halogen), which is then reacted with a compound expressed by formula IV in the presence of a base to provide a compound expressed by formula V. The resultant compound expressed by formula V is subsequently reacted with a compound expressed by formula VI [Y1 and Y2 are-O-, -S-, etc.; R3a and R3b are (substituted) alkyl, aryl, etc.] to afford a compound expressed by formula VII, which is then reacted with a compound expressed by formula VIII. The amino-protecting group is finally eliminated to provide the aimed compound expressed by formula I.
