Abstract:
PURPOSE: To gradually increase the rate of reaction by pellet-like anaerobic sludge and permit a small volume of reaction tank to be used.
CONSTITUTION: In an anaerobic treating device, a reacting tank 11 which comprises an inlet opening 14 provided at its bottom part and connected with a raw water tank 12; an outlet opening 16 for treated water B and an outlet opening 17 for biogas at the upper part thereof; and a plurality of perforated separating plates 20 provided therein vertically at predetermined intervals, each of the perforated separating plates 20 being adapted to retain thereon the pellet-like anaerobic sludge 21, whereby the organic matter in raw liquid A moving in an upward stream is decomposed by step-by-step method.
