Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive analog division circuit which executes a prescribed division at a high speed with high precision.
SOLUTION: A multiplier 3 receives a first input signal β and a second input signal (x) to perform multiplication (β×x) and gives the result to a divider 4. An adder 1 receives the second input signal (x) and a third input signal α(prescribed voltage to perform addition (α+x). This addition signal (α+x) is amplified by a first operational amplifier 2 having the gain α and is given to the other input terminal of the divider 4. The divider 4 receives these two signals to perform prescribed division (β.x)/{α(α+x)} and gives the operation result to one input terminal of a substractor 6. A second operational amplifier 5 having the gain 1/α receives the first input signal β to perform operation β/α and gives the operation result to the other input terminal of the subteractor 6. The subtractor 6 calculates the difference between these two inputs and outputs a value y=β/α-β.x/{α(α+x)} from the output terminal.
