To realize storage, acceleration, and outgoing radiation of high intensity, charged particle beams with a high frequency device with low production cost and easy to control by setting in a specified value the ratio of the center frequency of high frequency power for applying to at least one high frequency accelerating cavity to the center frequency of high frequency power for applying to at least one high frequency deflection electrode.
A control device 25 controls the oscillating frequency of a reference signal generating device 21 so as to agree with orbital frequency of beams, and makes a frequency converter 22 of a high frequency oscillator of a 1/2 divider. High frequency power of frequency agreed with frequency of beams is supplied to a high frequency accelerating cavity 4, and band high frequency power of center frequency of 1/2 of orbital frequency beams is supplied to a high frequency deflection electrode. When a decimal part of a betatron frequency approaches 1/2 by space-charge effect, amplitude of betatron frequency is automatically increased, the particle density distribution of a beam central part can be made flat, and the space charge effect is moderated.
