PURPOSE: To excite an antenna conductor without contact by capacitance connection by providing the antenna conductor near a slot antenna provided perpendicular to the upper surface of a metallic casing.
CONSTITUTION: The plate-like conductor 2 provided with the metallic casing 1 and a notch 3 constitutes a half-wavelength slot. Since the half-wavelength slot is installed in such a way that both ends are on the upper surface of the metallic casing 1 at the intervals of about half-wavelength, a feeding coaxial line 4 excites a resonance mode where an electric field becomes maximum at the center of the slot and '0' at the both ends of the slot by an electromagnetic wave transmitted through the line 4. The center of the slot where voltage in the slot becomes maximum is connected with the end part of the linear conductor 7 having length about the half wavelength of a resonance frequency placed near the center through capacitance, and the linear conductor is excited. The excited linear conductor operates as a half-wavelength dipole.
