Abstract:

To provide compositions and methods for modulating the expression of C-reactive protein (also known as CRP and PTX1) and treating diseases associated with the expression of C-reactive protein.

This invention provides a compound that has a length of 8 to 50 nucleobases targeting nucleic acid molecules encoding C-reactive protein, is specifically hybridizable with the nucleic acid molecules encoding C-reactive protein, and inhibits the expression of C-reactive protein, or a composition including the compound, particularly antisense oligonucleotides or a composition including it.
