Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the perpendicularity of crossties with satisfactory operation efficiency and satisfactory measurement precision.
SOLUTION: This apparatus for measuring the perpendicularity of crossties comprises a main body 10 capable of being extended between rails; a reference arm 11 having contact claws 13 to be mounted to one end of the main body 10 into contact with the longitudinal direction of a rail for positioning the main body to the rail by bringing the contact claws 13 into contact with the rail; a reference scale 15 to be positioned to a measurement reference position along the longitudinal direction of the rail to the reference arm 11 and capable of coming into contact with a measurement reference section of a crosstie on the side of rail; a measuring arm 16 to be mounted to the other end of the main body 10 and arranged along the longitudinal direction of the other rail; and a measuring scale 19 capable of moving in a longitudinal direction with respect to the movement reference position of the measuring arm 16 and coming into contact with a section to be measured on the side of the other rail corresponding to the measurement reference section of the crosstie.
