Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make it possible to enable a doctor to exactly, easily and safely execute deposition of fibrin clots to a wound section by using a single hand during arthroscopic operation by using a device including a long extended hollow applicator and plunger for depositing the fibrin clots in the wound section. CONSTITUTION: The applicator body 10 and the plunger 12 having a rear knob 36 in order to pack a certain amt. of fibrin clot materials 56 into a graduated part 28 of a discharge chamber 20 from a collecting chamber 16 are used. A second knob 42 infiltrates the collecting chamber 16 and butts against the circular truncated cone shoulder 22 of the applicator body 10. The front end 50 extends to the outer side of the device and all of the fibrin clot materials are discharged from the device. The arthroscopic operation is executed by inserting the applicator body through a second cannula 66 in such a manner that the long extended end of the discharge charge 20 exists near the wound section to inject a certain amt. of the fibrin clot materials into the wound section. The fibrin clot materials are exactly placed in the desired regions by viewing the operation by an arthroscope 64.
