PURPOSE: To prevent the incursion of fishes into an intake channel by narrowing the bottom of the intake channel, widening the upper surface thereof to form an approximately U-shaped section, providing opposite electrodes to both sides thereof to apply voltage, weakening the upper surface of a barrier region, and strengthening the bottom thereof.
CONSTITUTION: An intake channel 1 has an approximate U-shaped section, the bottom 2 thereof is narrowed, and the upper surface 3 is widened to make upper part-to-upper part distance X1 longer than lower part-to-lower part distance X2. Aquatic animal incursion preventive devices are provided to both sides 6 and 6 of the intake channel 1, opposed electrodes 5 and 5 are placed in the vertical direction, DC power supply 7 is provided, one end is connected to the electrode 5 on a left side 6, and the other end is connected to the opposed electrode 5.
