Abstract:

To configure an area group having a virtual area so as to make it suitable for load distribution.

In a network system where a low order storage device 3, an area access terminal 4 and a high order storage device 2 are connected, a management server 1 executes a storage device information acquisition procedure for acquiring the information of an actual area and port information showing a physical device to which the actual area belongs, a procedure for preparing a link area to the actual area based on the information of the actual area, a procedure for preparing a link area set by making an inclusion relation between the physical device and the actual area identical to an inclusion relation between the link area set and the link area based on the port information and a procedure for setting the prepared link area set in the high order storage device 2.
