Abstract:
To provide a sampling article for effectively dislodging and picking up samples, which dislodges samples such as biofilms from surfaces without killing microbes, without disrupting cell membranes of the microbes, and without otherwise adversely impacting sample integrity.SOLUTION: An article 1 comprises an inner layer 11 contained in one or more outer layers 10. The inner layer 11 comprises a hydrophilic absorbent porous textile having a solid content of 0.5%-30%, optionally 0.5%-15%.
