To provide an assembling chair of free construction allowing a user to flexibly assemble and change forms of a seat section of a bench based on free ideas.

This assembling chair comprises: straight rod-like seat-section components whose shaft cross section shapes are defined to a same shape; engagement means which engage and retain the seat-section components at two separate points on straight lines; self-sustainable leg-section bodies which are provided with the multiple engagement means arranged in parallel at predetermined intervals on their upper faces in lines; and the seat section formed by retaining the seat-section components to each of the respective engagement means of the leg-section bodies, slidably only in the axial direction. In the chair of this constitution, the plurality of leg-section bodies whose heights are uniformized and whose widths and depths are variously set, are arranged in appropriately separated position relationship, wherein the engagement means of the respective leg-section bodies are serially arranged on straight lines respectively, and the proper-length seat-section components are attached to the respective engagement means serially arranged in lines respectively so as to form the seat section.
