Abstract:
To provide a gene related to gravitropism in a higher plant and a transgenic plant using the gene.
This gene is capable of functionally complementing lethality of a mid1 mutant of a yeast and the gene encoding a stretch-activated calcium- permeable channel is identified from Arabidopsis thaliana which is the higher plant.
