Abstract:
To provide an austenite stainless steel having a thickness above a certain level and having high strength and excellent surface quality.SOLUTION: An austenite stainless steel is designed so that a content of C and N is 0.08% or more in terms of mass%, an average hardness of a cross section parallel to a thickness direction is 250 HV or more, a thickness is 3 mm or more, and an average depth of scabs due to intercrystalline cracking during hot-rolling is 10 μm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
