Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic cleaning device for a battery end face, which can automatically clean the battery end face efficiently and reliably.
SOLUTION: A battery carrying mechanism 2 to carry batteries B toward a carrying direction F while arranging and holding them in line by plural battery holder parts 11 so that both end faces project sideways respectively. While two long band cleaning members 3 installed so that they can be supplied to a wound part from a supply part are arranged to contact individually and simultaneously both end faces of each of plural batteries B carried by the battery carrying mechanism 2, these two cleaning members 3 are elastically pressed, with a specific pressure, onto each end face of specific numbers of the batteries B by an individual pressure adjusting mechanism 4. By means of a relative movement applied between the end face of the battery B and the cleaning member 3, both end faces of the battery B are wiped simultaneously and automatically cleaned by those two cleaning members 3.
