To enable observing an everyday locking habit by enabling locking to be done through such an obvious means as extending a crossbar across the most apparent place, i.e., a handle itself, so that burglars give up the idea of intruding into the automobile, and providing a device with an additional function as a bookrack on the handle so that the device is kept near the driver's seat most of the time.
A cylinder 2 is mounted below a rectangular base 1 while being tied at its right and left ends, and a locking bar 3 which freely moves into and out of the cylinder 2 is mounted inside the cylinder 2. Lock holes 5 are bored in the locking bar 3 at intervals, a belt hook 6 is attached to the left end of the bar 3, a lock 7 is attached to the right end of the cylinder 2, and a lock wire 28 is attached to the back base 1 of the cylinder 2. A belt-equipped bracket 8 is mounted in a position on the back of the base 1 at the left end of the cylinder 2, and a belt 10 is extended therefrom and tied to the belt hook 6.
