Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the power consumption of a protecting power source for supplying a power to a control part of a protecting circuit, etc., of a high-frequency discharge lamp lighting device.
SOLUTION: In a high-frequency discharge lamp lighting device wherein a rectifier smoothing part, an oscillating part, an output part and a control part are provided, an FET is used for the output part and a starting high voltage is obtained by combining a frequency shift and an LC resonant circuit, the device is constituted by supplying the power of the rectifier smoothing part only to the oscillating part when outputting a power source and by attaining an auxiliary power from a part of the output of the output part after the oscillating part is activated.
