Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-reliability unexhausted position detecting method for a rotary valve capable of setting an unexhausted position of the rotary valve without specially providing a detecting means for detecting a rotation position of the rotary valve.
SOLUTION: In this method, a rotary valve 4 is continuously rotated as an air pump 3 is actuated, and when high air pressure exceeding a specified value is detected by a pressure sensor 12, it is judged that the rotary valve 4 is at a position where an exhaust port 6 is not communicated with either of cell connection ports 7a, 7b, 7c and is set to be at a reset timing for resetting a counter, and a rotation position of the rotary valve 4 when the specified value is counted by the counter is set as an unexhausted position.
