Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backup method of a server capable of efficiently investing resources of a backup system by securing capacitance allocated to future clients as much as possible.SOLUTION: A backup method for backing up data of a plurality of backup request source devices into a storage device includes: a detection step of detecting whether capacitance of a storage region in the storage device allocated for each user of the backup request source device reaches a predetermined upper limit threshold; and a storage step in which, if it is detected that the capacitance reaches the threshold, backup data of a first user reaching the threshold value are temporarily stored into a non-used region of any other second user than the first user. After the storage step, if the first user can secure an empty region in the first user's own region, a control part moves data from the temporary storage region to the empty region.
