Abstract:
PURPOSE:To restrain the amount of vibration less than a given value over the whole range of engine revolution by providing weights in the counterweight part which move in the centrifugal direction by centrifugal force against an elastic supporting means toward the center of rotation. CONSTITUTION:Housings 7 lengthened in the centrifugal direction of counterweights 6 are formed in the counterweights 6, and ball-form weights 9 are elastically supported in these housings by compression coil springs 10 in the axial direction. Accordingly, the weights 9 move in the centrifugal direction in accordance with the numbers of revolution to change the balance factor characteristics. Thus, effective response to the change due to revolutions on the effects caused by the inertia force due to reciprocating mass and the gas pressure in the cylinders can be achieved, so that the amount of vibration over the whole range of engine revolution can be restrained less than a given value.
