PURPOSE: To good accurately machine each part to be built up while to enable its assembly to be automatized, by enabling positioning between each part to be determined only by a relation of 1:1 between the two parts, in case of the captioned bearing.

CONSTITUTION: In a bearing for linear sliding motion, a pair of load ball grooves 16a, 16b, formed in each sleeve part 7 of a sliding bed 1, are provided along a lengthwise direction in the internal surface side of each sleeve part 7, forming recessed grooves 9. And upper and bottom ball rolling surfaces 10a, 10b are formed respectively in upper and bottom corner angular parts of each recessed groove 9. While holding plates 2a, which constitute one part of a ball holding means 2 protruding so as to continue from the bottom ball rolling surface formed in the bottom corner angular part of each recessed groove 9, are mounted. Further holding members 2b, which constitute one part of the ball holding means 2 being fixed to a side of each sleeve part 7 along the lengthwise direction of the ball rolling surfaces 10a, 10b, are mounted between the ball rolling surfaces 10a, 10b.
