Abstract:
To provide a band saw machine including a saw blade guide securing a large saw blade holding force even in the case of using a cylinder having a comparatively smaller sectional area.
This band saw machine includes a pair of saw blade guides 27F, 27M each traveling and guiding a band saw 9. A front insert 59 is fixedly provided at the tip of the saw blade guide, and a rear insert 77 is provided to freely move forward and backward. By the driving force of a cylinder 91, the rear insert 77 is rocked utilizing the principle of lever, thereby causing the rear insert 77 to approach and separate from the front insert 59 to guide the band saw blade 9.
