Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the bar code processing system which can make corrections as much as possible when the decoding is taken place even if a bar code can not be read or is misread owing to its overlap with other characters.
SOLUTION: This system has an information symbol part contradiction decision/disapperance flag addition part 21 which decides whether or not a read bar code has a contradiction and adds a disapperance flag to the bar code decided to have the contradiction, a bar code/symbol conversion part 22 which converts the read bar code into a symbol, an error correction execution part 25 which corrects a disppearance error for the converted symbol by using the disapperance flag, and a symbol/number, character, and symbol conversion part 26 which converts the disappearance-error corrected symbol into character information.
