Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damper having the absorption performance of vibrations and excellent durability, in which a performance degradation due to the repetition of vibrations is reduced, even when the height size of a damper body is not necessarily increased regarding a base-isolation damper used for a seismic isolator for a building, particularly the base-isolation damper for protecting the building from the energy of an earthquake when the earthquake occurs by jointly using the damper with the seismic isolator.
SOLUTION: The plane shape of a damper body 1 is curved and formed in the damper obtained by bending and forming the damper body 1 in an approximately U shape by a metal such as lead in the base-isolation damper reducing the energy of the earthquake transmitted to a building structure when the earthquake is generated by jointly using the damper with the seismic isolator. One or a plurality of the curved and formed curved sections may also be formed.
