To provide a base material for making automobile interior finishing materials, which can achieve compatibly both the reduction of weight and form stability thereof through the use of a Vinylon fiber, and to provide automobile interior finishing materials having both the weight reduction and the form stability compatibly achieved thereof.

The base material for automobile interior finishing materials is constituted such that non-woven fabrics including strands of the Vinylon fibers focused are laminated on either one side or both sides of the surfaces of a porous base material. The automobile interior finishing materials also include the foregoing base material for automobile interior finishing materials. The automobile interior finishing materials are preferably equipped with a skin material.
