To provide a battery module including plural battery packs connected to each other capable of increasing the energy density of the battery module by reducing the volume of an electrical connection part of the battery pack and facilitating electrical connection between the battery packs.
The battery module includes: a first battery pack having a plural unit cells arranged therein; a second battery pack having a plural unit cells arranged therein; and a bus bar that electrically connects a collector plate of the first battery pack and a collector plate of the second battery pack to each other. The first battery pack and the second battery pack each having plural unit cells arranged therein and has a space between the unit cells at the end part thereof. A bus bar is disposed in either one of the spaces of the first battery pack and the second battery pack. The volume of the electrical connection portion between the battery packs is reduced. Thus, the energy density of the battery module can be increased.
