To provide a set battery having the capability of easily replacing or changing a cell and restraining connecting resistance across batteries and at the same time, having the capability of reducing the number of constituent parts than the conventional case and allowing an assembly with relative ease.
A plurality of cylindrical cells 1 are connected in series via cylindrical connecting units 2, thereby forming a set battery. Each connecting unit 2 has one cell 1 screwed on an end and an adjacent cell 1 screwed on an end, thereby connecting the terminals of two cells under pressure contact. The positive electrode terminal of the cell 1 is formed out of an annular bottom plate part, a cylindrical projection part projected from the inner peripheral end of the bottom plate part, and an annular extension part extended from the end of the projection part in parallel with the bottom plate part so as to expand externally. At the same time, a metallic plate is formed to have a topped-sideways U-shape or U-shape cross section.
