Title:
NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE BATTERY AND ITS MANUFACTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000138053
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To improve battery capacity and maintain the positional accuracy of an external terminal.

This battery has a cell 1 housed in an armour member 2 made of a laminated film, and sealed with thermal fusion. In addition, a positive electrode and a negative electrode for constituting the cell 1, and electrode terminal leads 3 and 4 respectively connected thereto are exposed to the outside of the armour member 2 in such a state as clamped with thermally fused parts. The cell 1 is made of a wound body consisting of long-sized positive and negative electrodes having an active material layer formed on a current collector, and the electrode terminal leads 3 and 4 are fitted to the current collector of the positive and negative electrodes near the most internal surface of the wound body. In manufacturing the battery, the positions of the electrode terminal leads 3 and 4 are detected and positioned for a flat take-up shaft. Thereafter, the positive and negative electrodes are wound around the flat take-up shaft.
