To provide a bead-like solid lubricant for a plunger, excellent in flame resistance.
The bead-like solid lubricant includes a lubrication component and metal hydroxide of 2%-10% as a flame resisting component. The size of beads desirably falls within a range of 0.5-5 mm in an average particle diameter from a point capable of securing lubricity between an injection sleeve and a plunger tip by a small quantity, and desirably falls within a range of 1-3 mm in the average particle diameter. Since addition of a predetermined quantity of metal hydroxide is for imparting the flame resistance to the lubrication component, the content of the metal hydroxide is preferably 2% or more to the total solid lubricant quantity from a viewpoint of imparting this flame resistance. Since there is also the necessity of taking into consideration the lubricity between the plunger tip and the injection sleeve when using the lubricant for a plunger, in its case, the content of the metal hydroxide is preferably set less than 10%.
