Abstract:
To press-fit a bearing in a bearing housing without damaging a circlip and an outside ring groove.
An expander 53 is rotated in the bearing housing H so that a regulating projection 53a comes to be at a central part of a cutout 7 accompanied by both tool engaging claws 7, 7 after engaging the regulating projection 53a projectively provided on an outside surface of the expander 53 between the both tool engaging claws 7, 7 in sinking the whole of the circlip in the outside ring groove 3 by extending the circlip C by the expander 53 inserted into the bearing housing H. The bearing is thereby press-fitted in the bearing housing by a press-fit punch without damaging the circlip and the outside ring groove.
