Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the quality and productivity in bending of a planar material.
CONSTITUTION: The shaping part 14 on the downstream side of a heating furnace 12 has transporting rollers 48 divided to enable the passage of a PQ ring 50 and a die 26A. A glass plate 52 for wide windshields is transported by the transporting rollers 48 to the position below the die 26A. Cooling parts 16, 18 are placed on the downstream side of the shaping part 14. A transporting mechanism 20 moves the PQ ring 50 between the cooling parts 16, 18 and the shaping part 14 and lifts the PQ ring 50 in the vertical direction of the transporting rollers 48.
