A biological information monitoring system includes a sensor unit equipped with an acceleration sensor, and a sensor device for monitoring biological information detected by the acceleration sensor. The sensor device has data extracting sections 112 and 115 for extracting data of frequency bands A and B respectively which extract frequency components belonging to predetermined frequency bands from the acceleration data, and a biological information measurement section (a respiration data measurement section 114 and a heartbeat data measurement section 117) which converts the extracted frequency components of the acceleration data of the frequency bands into data of time components, acquires an interval of peak values on a time-axis, and measures biological information of a subject on the basis of the peak interval.
