Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent misalarming indicating that a body image is in a detection area although the object image is outside the detection area and misdetection showing that the body image is outside the detection area although it is in the detection area.
SOLUTION: A body position detecting means 101 extracts a body Image area in an image of a monitor area and detects Its three-dimensional position. A detection area setting means 102 sets a spatial detection area consisting of a polyhedron. A means 103 for deciding whether or not there is a body in a (every) detection area decides whether or not the three-dimensional position of the body image area detected by the body position detecting means 101 is in the spatial detection area set by the detection area setting means 102, and sends an indication to an alarm output means 104 when deciding that the position is in the space, thereby generating an alarm.
