Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cast porosity detection device for a cast product which can reliably detect a relatively small cast porosity and a relatively large cast porosity.SOLUTION: A defect detection device for a cast product 1 detects a cast porosity that has occurred to the cast product 1 with an X-ray transmission image. A computer 10 sets an X-ray transmission image of a cast product 1 without a defect as a first master image, and detects a relatively large cast porosity from difference between the X-ray transmission image and the first master image. It smooths the X-ray transmission image to set a resulting image as a second master image, and detects a relatively small cast porosity from difference between the X-ray transmission image and the second master image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
