Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for considerably reducing a measurement time to measure oxidation and reductive reaction of a sample to detect concentration and capacity of antioxidant in the sample and improving detection sensitivity.SOLUTION: With a sensing method of oxidation and reductive reductions, a first light emission and fluorescence intensity and absorbance in a wavelength in a near-infrared region of a mixed solution of a single layer carbon nanotube and a hydrogen peroxide solution are measured at least once. A sample is added into a mixed solution. Then, a second light emission intensity and absorbance are measured at least once. Difference between the first and the second light emission intensity and absorbance values is determined. Difference between the first and the second values is specified as an index of antioxidant concentration and antioxidant capability.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
