Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a boring spindle having improved in heat dissipation while depressing calorific value caused by oil by preventing the adhesion of excessive oil to a spindle bearing.
CONSTITUTION: This boring spindle forms a supply passage 30 for feeding oil mist to a spindle bearing, and an exhaust passage 32 for externally guiding the oil mist in the axial direction in a quill body 14, and an intermediate passage for communicating the supply passage 30 with the exhaust passage 32 through air holes 36, 38 opened in the inner peripheral surface of the quill.
