Abstract:
To improve mountability of a brake system to a saddle-riding type vehicle while taking safety into consideration.SOLUTION: In a brake system, a mechanism part includes: a friction application device which brakes a wheel of a saddle-riding type vehicle with a frictional force according to motion of an operation element; an operation element motion sensor which detects motion of the operation element; and an actuator which is unitized together with the friction application device. At the time of regular braking, a control part controls output of the actuator on the basis of a detection result of the operation element motion sensor, changes a friction force which is applied to the wheel by the friction application device, and when the actuator is in a non-conduction state, the friction force is applied to the wheel by the friction application device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
