PURPOSE: To make a stopping distance approximate to the desired value, by compensating a degree of influence on deceleration due to variations in a wheel diameter and/or a friction factor lying between a disc and a brake shoe with a specified range.
CONSTITUTION: A first signal VP out of a commander 1 is compared with a seccond signal β, showing deceleration, out of a deceleration detector 4 by a differential detector 5. This differential detector 5 outputs a third signal Δβ proportionate to (β-VP) when (VP-β) exists in a specified range. The third signal is limited by a limiter 6 and converted into a fourth signal, then inputted into a subtracter 7 which, in turn, subtracts the fourth signal from the first signal out of the commander 1 and outputs a fifth signal. Receiving this fifth signal, a controller 9 makes the specified braking force act on a wheel 2.
