PURPOSE: To confirm the presence/absence or contents of information in the case of reducing and displaying the plural pieces of image information with the blowsing display function of an image data base system.
CONSTITUTION: The image data base system is provided with an image file, voice file, image file with voice, and image information managing file for managing the attributes of image information. When the start of blowsing is instructed from a terminal, it is judged corresponding to the image managing information of the managing file whether any voice is attached to the image information or not (S3). When the voice is attached, image information is read from the image file (S5) and voice information is read from the voice file (S6) or the image information and voice information is read from the image file with voice (S7 and S8). Then, the image information and voice information is synchronized (S9), the voice information is outputted to a voice output device (S10) and the image information is outputted to a display device as reduced images with marks (S11).
