Abstract:
PURPOSE:To detect brush attrition of a rotary electrical machinery correctly within the maximum limit, by a method wherein the brush attrition is detected at a specified position, and a warning signal is issued. CONSTITUTION:When a brush 1 is attrited, and the end portion of the brush 1 supporter reaches the maximum limit position, projection 7 of a microswitch 6 is removed from the supporter end portion of the brush 1, pushed out by a built-in spring. In this time, the microswitch 6 is turned ON, a lamp 8 is lit by batteries 9, indicating that the brush 1 must be replaced with new one.
