PURPOSE: To synchronize photography with sound recording and to realize reproduction in responding to index number by giving a number to a photograph, and dividing a magnetic tape into plural sections and recording sound automatically corresponding to the numbers.

CONSTITUTION: Once a shutter 1 is released, a frame number recording device 3 records 1 on a film 4 and a sound recording button 10 is turned on at the same time to record sound on the tape 14. In this case, a display 15 displays 1. The tape 14 is stopped through a sensor 16 at completion of the sound recording. When the shutter 1 is pressed again, 2 is recorded in the 2nd frame of the film, the display 15 displays 2, and the operation is carried on similarly. In this case, the associative operation between a strobe terminal and a shutter timer may be used instead of the associative operation between the shutter 1 and a switch 6. A part of the tape is only reproduced on the basis of its photographic frame number 17 of the developed photograph 9.
