To provide a method for mass-culturing/producing any of various pathogenic microbes as a raw material for vaccines for infectious animal diseases or antigens for infection diagnoses in an efficient step by using a suspendible cultured cell line capable of continuous suspension culture which is created from a normal adhesive monolayer cultured cell line sensitive to various pathogenic microbes including pathogenic virus.
The suspendible cultured cell line is a canine kidney-derived one which is created from a canine kidney-derived adhesive monolayer cultured cell line. The canine kidney-derived suspendible cultured cell line is either a cell line deposited as an accession No. of FERM P-18443 or a cell line having biological properties equivalent to those thereof. Suspension culture of the cell line enables the efficient mass production of the aimed pathogenic microbes.
