In this car washing machine, a side brush, a front top brush, and a rear top brush are installed on a reciprocatingly travelable washing machine body, and the car washing machine body is run for washing an automobile. The front top brush and the rear top brush are so disposed that the distance between the outer peripheries of these both top brushes in the longitudinal direction of the car washing machine body is smaller than the maximum diameter of the side brush. While the car washing machine body is moved forward, the front top brush washes the upper surface of the body of the automobile, and the rear top brush washes the upper surface of the washed body.
