Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine and quickly respond to an anomaly if any in an opening movement of rocker brushes, even when return travel of a traveling frame is started before opening of the rocker brushes is finished, upon contact of side brushes with a vehicle front face.
SOLUTION: A car washing machine comprises a front face detecting means 21 for detecting contact of the side brushes 6 with a vehicle front face during ongoing travel of the traveling frame 1, a rocker opening detecting means 39 for detecting opening of the rocker brushes 5 to a given opening degree or more, a controlling means 48 for effecting an opening movement of the rocker brushes 5 and return travel of the traveling frame 1 when the front face detecting means 21 detect contact of the side brushes 6 with the vehicle front face, and an anomaly determining means 48 for determining, from a detection result of the rocker opening detecting means 39, whether the opening movement of the rocker brushes 5 is anomalous or not before the traveling frame 1 is returned beyond a given safety limit position during the return travel.
