Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a suitable base band error ratio by a small circuit scale by controlling the band of a moving average value by using a part of plural symbols to be used for calculating the moving average value in order to obtain a carrier phase estimation value.
SOLUTION: A moving average means 25a calculates the moving average value of m symbols of in-phase and orthogonal modulation components outputted from a non-linear processing means 20. A filter band calculation means 5 inputs r symbols to be a part of plural symbols from respective m-stage shift registers 21a, 21b, analyzes these data, detects the power drop of received signal or sudden carrier phase variation due to phasing, shadowing, etc., and sets up a filter band based on the detected variation. The filter band value indicates how many data out of data stored in the m-stage shift registers 21a, 21b are to be used for the calculation of moving average and is applied to data output control means 22c, 22d each of which consists of a simple logical element.
