Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain structure for rainwater which reduces the flowing speed of rainwater vigorously flowing down in a valley where roofs cross each other and leads it to an eaves gutter and further prevents fallen leaves from dropping into the eaves gutter.
SOLUTION: This cover member for an eaves gutter prevents foreign materials such as fallen leaves or the like from dropping into the gutter with a nearly L-shaped form in the plan view by closing the gap opening between the lower end part of the valley where the roof faces of roofs cross each other and the front side upper edge of the eaves gutter attached to the roof edge, at the reentrant angle of the eaves gutter. A plurality of through holes 2 are formed to communicate with the obverse and reverse sides of the plate of the cover body 1. Ribs extending downward to stop rainwater are provided at the eaves gutter side edge of the through holes 2.
