Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely perform pulling out of the carrot in a carrot harvester having two pieces of rotary disks by standing up leaf parts of the carrot before the pulling out of the carrot.
SOLUTION: This carrot harvester has a leaf part pulling up device H for standing up the leaf parts Cb of carrots in a field by revoling travels of many standing pieces in front of a carrot pulling out and carrying device D composed of two pieces of rotary disks 8a and 8b, and a pair of guide plates G are arranged between the leaf part pulling up device H and an opening formed at each front half part of the two pieces of rotary disks 8a and 8b in rear of the pulling up device H. Then, a pulled up figure of the left part Cb of the carrot pulled up by the leaf part pulling up device H is kept by the guide plates G, thus a root part Ca of a carrot in the soil is pulled out while nipping the leaf parts Cb of the carrot with peripheral parts of the two pieces of rotary disks 8a and 8b.
